Inventory of what can be restored, and what cannot
After a fire, the useful list is specific. Each item, where it was, whether it is soot-stained, wet, charred, or unaffected, and whether it is worth cleaning. That list is what an insurer and a cleaner both work from. A room photo is not an inventory.
Restorable usually means the item can be cleaned or repaired back to use. Not restorable usually means it is charred through, unsafe, or so contaminated that cleaning will not make it usable. We do not decide that for sentimental value. We record the condition.
